Our standards

The people we send into your home are vetted, trained, insured and employed on proper terms.

Vetting

Every companion has an Enhanced DBS check with the adults' barred list before they visit anyone alone. We check references and take up gaps in employment history.

Training

New companions complete a fortnight of paid induction covering safeguarding, dementia awareness, food hygiene, manual handling for light tasks, and our standards for visits.

Employed, not self-employed

Our companions are employed on contracted hours, not zero-hours. They are paid for travel time and mileage, and they get holiday pay and pension contributions.

Insurance

We carry full public liability and employer's liability insurance. You can ask to see our certificates at any time.

Consistency

Wherever possible, the same companion visits the same person. Familiarity matters, especially for someone who is frail or finds change unsettling.

  • A regular rota so you know who is coming
  • Advance notice if a different companion is needed
  • A written handover between companions

Communication

We answer the phone, we return calls, and we keep families informed. Check-in visits include a short written report sent the same day.
