We publish our prices. Most people in this business do not. You should be able to work out what this costs without ringing anyone.
A typical week
Two hours of company on a Wednesday afternoon

Two and a half hours a week keeping on top of the house

A three-hour trip out on a Friday — appointment, shopping, a coffee

The rates behind those numbers

Minimum visit two hours. Check-in visits are the exception, at one hour and £36. We start at 8am and finish by 9pm.
If a visit crosses two rates
We charge each part at its own rate. A visit from 5pm to 8pm on a Tuesday is one hour at £33 and two hours at £37 — £107 in total. We do not round the whole visit up to the higher rate.
Why evenings and weekends cost more
Because we pay our companions more for those hours, and we pass it on rather than keeping it. Bank holidays cost noticeably more because we are asking someone to give up their Christmas Day, and we think that should be worth something to them.
What's included
- Mileage within ten miles.
- Beyond that it is 45p a mile and we will tell you before you agree to anything.
- No joining fee, no assessment fee and no minimum contract.
- One week's notice to change or stop, and we will not make it awkward.
Before you decide
If the person you are asking about is over State Pension age and needs help or supervision, they may be entitled to Attendance Allowance. The higher rate is £114.60 a week, tax free, and savings and income make no difference to it whatsoever.
That is £5,959 a year. It covers two hours of company a week with a good deal left over.
Around a million people who could claim it never have, usually because they assume their savings rule them out. They don't. There is no financial test at all.

Our rates go up once a year, in April
We raise them in line with the National Living Wage, because our companions are paid properly and that cost moves every April. You get thirty days' notice in writing.
We will never change your price at any other point, and we will never quote you differently from what is on this page.
